Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer, Brendan brings over 35 years of corporate experience and a wealth of infrastructure expertise including former CEO of Queensland Motorways, where he oversaw the successful transition of the business from government to private ownership. Brendan was also the former Chief Operating Officer of Transurban Group, with responsibilities including serving as CEO of CityLink Melbourne for almost nine years.

Executive General Manager Strategy and Business Development

Caryn leads a division which coordinates the strategic considerations of Port of Melbourne to deliver the long-term growth, capacity and integration objectives of the port. As a result, Caryn oversees trade development and marketing, land use planning, property, stakeholder engagement and strategy.

Joining the former Port of Melbourne Corporation in 2006, Caryn has over 20 years’ experience in the Australian and international ports, shipping and logistics sector. Caryn’s practical industry experience is supported by formal qualifications in science, law and business.

Chief Financial Officer

Darryl is responsible for the finance function as well as treasury and regulation. Before joining the Port of Melbourne in 2017, Darryl was the CFO for the Port of Brisbane for more than 14 years where he helped lead the business through the transition from government to private ownership.

Darryl has 20 years of port experience leading various functions including strategic planning, property and trade development, as well as 10  years’ experience working in the road transport and logistics industry.

Darryl holds a Bachelor of Business, Master of Commerce and is a FCPA.

Keith Gordon, Executive General ManagerKeith Gordon

Executive General Manager Operations

Keith oversees a wide range of operational departments including environment services, assets and infrastructure management, spatial data, port security, safety and emergency management and survey.

Before joining the former Port of Melbourne Corporation in 2006, Keith held a number of senior management roles including that of Chief Executive Officer of Geraldton Port Authority. Keith also served as General Manager Ports for Toll Holdings with responsibility for the ports of Geelong and Hastings for almost a decade.

With over 30 years’ experience in the shipping and logistics industry, Keith has a strong understanding of the port’s statutory, commercial and operational requirements and obligations.

Jason Price, Executive General ManagerJason Price

Executive General Manager Port Capacity

Jason is responsible for leading the Port Capacity Division. This division oversees the planning, approval, management and development of the Port of Melbourne’s container and automotive capacity.

Jason has extensive experience in service delivery in complex environments, with nearly two decades of professional practice in project and contract management.

Before joining the former Port of Melbourne Corporation in 2007, firstly as General Manager Projects, and subsequently as EGM Corporate Services, Jason held a number of senior management positions with international building and construction materials supplier Boral Limited, and construction and mining equipment manufacturer Caterpillar.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Engineering and postgraduate management qualifications.
